Shower card ideas

Here is a sample of a wedding shower invite that I have been working on. Scallop circle, Big shot, Rose, "Fifth Avenue Floral" , inside I used "Very Vintage" # 117693 jumbo roller which peeks out from the scallop front edge. All Stampin' Up! products.

Quilt Challenge

This is a challenge through my quilt guild I belong to. We all brought 12 fat eights in red. then we exchanged them and had to come up with a project. I chose this table runner that I had gotten off of the "All people Quilt" website. It was a challenge for me, I had never done anything with a curved set in circle.. I liked how the pinks and reds blended, and I chose the blue print fabric from my stash, yep, I didn't go out and purchase a thing... Yeah! Each circle has a cordoroy button  from Stampin' Up!.
Went to a baby shower this weekend for baby girls. Made some cute hooded towels, receiving blankets, headbands, and of course a card.
The card, I used the new scallop punch, and stampset #113500 "Fun & Fast Notes", which is has so many possibilities.

Cards & more

Wedding card using # 115030 Lovely Letters, and the new scallop punches, and Butterfly embosslit #118138"Beautiful Wings", Texture folder #117335 "Perfect Polka Dots", this reminds me of swiss dotted fabric.. really shows up. Whisper white & black card stock.

Christmas 2009-Handmade

Some Christmas pictures, I love the way my tree comes out, the old stuff, old ornaments from the past, especially those paper handprints the kids made in grade school, and the photo ornaments that they made too. And to top it off an angel that I made when we were first married..watching over us throughout the year

Christmas time. A wonderful time spent with family & friends. May the spirit of "Him" stay with you throughout the year. God Bless.

Hand made Christmas

Here are some photos of the things that I made at Christmas for my grandnephews and nieces.  I had so much fun making these. Fleece PJ's and these animal blankets to lay on..
The girls got fleece jackets, and cotton bubble skirts, with appliqued T-shirts, and these really cute soft teddy bears that I just drew out, cut, & stuffed.

Happy New Year everyone... Hope all had a great Christmas and New Year.. Christmas was spent with family, and unfortunately my mom going into the hospital Christmas Eve, she is recovering and should be home soon... I tell you, the best part of having little ones around the holidays, is just their sheer excitement of opening up their presents.. it's not really what they are getting, but just ripping into that paper.. and the looks on their faces.. We are so blessed to have grandnephews and nieces in our family, they have brought such joy back into our lives.. We are a blessed family.. HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE !

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you ! We are truly blessed in so many ways, our families, friends and lives. Yes this has been hard times for many, including some in my own family, we have learned to tighten the belt while trying to find jobs, but at the same time keeping busy, creative, and trying to help others around us that need extra help. May we keep our thoughts and prayers on others who are less fortunate that don't have food on their tables, or a roof over their head. And especially to our service men over seas fighting for our freedom that we have here in this beautiful country of ours. May God bless all of you during this very thankful holiday, and may you help someone less fortunate.

Cousin Night Out!

Here we are out to dinner, my sister, niece and cousins, I am the one on the far right. We are sporting out Breast Cancer awareness pins that I made. We had a great time reminising about our childhood. We are double cousins, YES, our mothers were sisters or cousins of each other, and our fathers were brothers. Those Italian men liked those Portuguese women..We have great stories to share, growing up in the country, and being blessed to be a part of a wonderful family that visited every weekend.. those were the good ol' days!
Homemade cookies, or cakes, and good old Kool-Aide ! Holding on to the memories!

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

This month is breast cancer awareness month. I made some really cute butterfly pins and gave them to my Stampin' Up Stamp a Rama-Luv 2 Stamp group that Patty Bennet had hosted last month for us. I have been making more throughout the month and giving them to friends & family to spread the word of early detection and breast health. http://www.bridgetmartinelli.stampinup.net
I used the Big Shot by Sissix, Stampin'Up!, die cutting machine, and the Bigz Die, #114507 Beautiful Butterflies, various DSP paper in pink, and stamped the ribbon of hope stamp#115552 in Pink passion ink, added a rhinestone brad, 1/4 ribbon tied in 2 knots for center of butterfly, and added a pin to back. So simple to make. I made large & small ones. Great to hand out at events or different organizations. Could even be a great fundraiser for a cancer group of your choice. Any questions, please leave a comment .

Baby shower

The last couple of days I have been preparing for  a baby shower.
I found out that Stephanie is having a girl, so being the frugal quilter that I am I went through my fabric stash.  I was so excited to find some hot pink minkie fabric, and a bright flowery print, just big enough to make a small quilt. I even had enough batting.. Gosh.. I didn't have to buy a thing!  I whipped it together and quilted around the flowers somewhat, not perfect, but after I washed it, I just loved how it got all bunchy and soft.
So of course I had to make a card, and Stephanie loves butterflies, so I got out my "Big Shot" from Sissix, (Stampin' Up!), and used the "bigz dies" #114507, Beautiful Butterflies, whisper white card stock, regal rose ink, and Fundamental Phrases #114968 " new baby'', older DSP paper, and the baby carraige from "Fun &  Fast Notes" #113509, the eyelet punch, oval punch, rhinestone brad, and pink  ribbon that is on sale right now with Stampin' Up!
The shower was fun, and she liked all that she received. A baby is such a gift, God bless them with their new life ahead.
